My Favorite BL Game Routes

Lucky Dog 1 - Giulio's Route

His route is unlike any other I’ve played. Giulio is madly in love with the main character Gian, but it’s not the normal type of love, it’s the yandere kind and he won't hesitate to kill for him. I’m not okay with someone murdering a bunch of people, but I’m totally okay with a seme who will slit the throat of anyone who fucks with his uke. Giulio is psychotic but soft spoken and gentle too. He's also one of the most bad ass ninja assassins ever and he can kill more than 20 men without getting a single scratch on him. His route does have moments of rape, but the developers did a good job with making those moments as unique as the storyline. Giulio enjoys killing people and seeing blood arouses him to the point where he loses control. Unfortunately, Gian learns this the hard way after he stumbles across an aroused and uncontrollable Giulio after he just finished slaughtering a group of men. Even his immense love for Gian isn't enough to bring him back to his senses and he ends up pushing him down and raping him. I know that probably sounds really fucked up, but even the way Giulio and Gian acted afterwards was done really well. Giulio's reactions and the way he speaks and acts around Gian make it impossible for you to hate him. He is my number one favorite BL character and, in my opinion, the best BL game seme as well.

Shingakkou ~ Noli me Tangere - Gabriel’s route

Twincest. Need I say more? This game is on my top five favorites list and I would love to tell everyone to play it, however, this game might be a little too much for some people. If you feel uncomfortable with anything dealing with religion, satanic cults and demon worshipers, twincest, horror, blood, and creepy old Catholic school priests who publicly bash homosexual relationships while secretly enjoying “punishing” unsuspecting male students, stay away from this game because it has all that and more.

Galtia - Zenox’s Route

He's so fucking sexy!! Before the game was released, I saw the CG of Zenox protecting the main character Shin from an arrow and that was all it took for me to want to play his route. That might be a weird reason, but I’m a sucker for semes with protective instinct who jump in to save their uke without even thinking about their own safety. I also wanted to play his route because of that red hair.

Tokyo Onmyouji - Basara’s route

Tokyo Onmyouji is a game that has a character type for everyone. Basara is a very energetic and cheerful shikigami who acts more like a uke than a seme, but he has a really dominant and perverted side as well.

Tokyo Onmyouji - Kamioosaki’s route

Kamioosaki is the childhood friend who is secretly in love with the uke. It’s really adorable when two childhood friends confess their love for each other, but it was twice as adorable when it happened between these two. Just look at how cute they are! There is one downside to his route, though……..his fashion sense.

Tokyo Onmyouji - Meguro’s route

Meguro is your typical unkind and violent seme. He doesn’t give a shit about anything, but his personality makes watching him fall in love more enjoyable. Who doesn’t like seeing love slowly melt the ice-covered heart of a hardcore tsundere?

Pigeon Blood - Every route except for that stupid dick Mimasaka’s

I thought this game was going to be horrible, and it was……but in a very good way. I enjoy playing fluffy yaoi games with happy endings, but occasionally it’s nice to sit down and play a horror game that has violence, gore, and a bunch of sexy men in it. I was worried that Pigeon Blood was going to suck because it started off with the classic “I’m gonna rape you and videotape it so I can blackmail you” cliché, but then there was dead animals and humans with their bodies torn apart and a crazy ass demon and a magic glowing katana that one of the most adorable ukes ever had to use to kill the crazy ass demon and I was just staring at my computer wondering why the hell I waited so long to play this game.

STEAL! - Hiro's Route

Hiro is voiced by the amazing Tachibana Shinnosuke and since I like saving the best for last, I wanted to wait until I had finished all the other character routes before tackling his. However, Hiro’s personality made me fall in love with him so much, I said fuck you to all the other characters and played his route first. Hiro is so hyper and happy that you can’t help but smile the entire time you’re playing the game. And you remember what I said earlier about characters who scream uke, but turn out to be dominant and perverted semes? Yeah, Hiro is one of those.
